The Josh Craig returns from the future with a sonic wave of energy to guide people on their path as they continue the battle with the machines on Sector-99. This relic found deep in the outer bounds of the galaxy has granted our hero TJC the tools needed to conquer the algorithm. What we have here is oscillation, evaluations and modulation to uplift the nation.

“60 minutes is enough time to change ones perspective on life. Listen loud and clear” - TJC. This 8 track mind melt is more than what you’ve been looking for, it is everything you need. The idea is to let the bass take you on a voyage. Strap on your seat belts and prepare for hyper speed.   

The opening intro STRICTLY FOR THE DREAMERS is a G-Funk low rider anthem. The 808 and Fender Rhodes connection is strong. The snare hits you right in the chest with a bass line that’ll make you’re uncle want to bring his Jheri curl back.

  The 2nd track is a rumble in the jungle titled BOGOTÁ LOVE STORY. The gliding pads and vocal samples take you into the mind of two French lovers on holidays in Colombia. The open air feel on this one is enough to make anyone dance for 3 nights straight. You know the vibe.

  Following up is track 3 LOWER, HIGHER. A 9 and a half minute deep house MPC style inner city jazz banger. Smoke filled basements with small talk coming from all angles is what comes to mind. The piano flip and drum fills are spot on. Shouts to South London on the love for this one.   

Next up we have TAKE A CHANCE. This minimal creeper is perfect for the subway rides and taxi’s on the way to the airport. TJC brings his signature octave switch and hi hat flex to the heart of the song. Some VHS sampling is always a bonus for the analog lovers out there.   

Track 5 YOU REMEMBER is a homage to life before lockdown. Traveling nonstop country to country, city to city. It seems TJC was touring through space the way he composed this one. A live recording straight off the cassette deck. That Living Room Rhythm’ Records sound we love.

  Sliding in after that is track 6 WGO another cassette deck slam jam thank you man. TJC debuts a different New Wave style vocal performance on this song. A message about life in the now. The stiff clap and mono synth reminds us of life in the 80’s. Somewhat Pop but very groovy. A hit.  

Rounding out with track 7 is CONTROL. Now this 11 minute time bending dimension altering performance is a must listen. Josh has done it again with a thought provoking electronic work of art. The sequencing has rave written all over. The acid synth is filthy and the vocals are lush. A+  

The finale and title track POSITIVE PLACE is an ambient heart warmer. The end of the journey but the beginning of something more. A perfect way to ease us out of the album. Life may be hard but there is always a positive place to look forward to. A very lovely song indeed. Instant classic.
